Welcome back after the Easter
break. We hope the children had a
restful 2 weeks and are ready for the summer term! A blog with our Summer Newsletter and class
timetable will follow later this week.
PE kits
Tuesdays will be our PE day for this
term so please ensure your child’s kit is back in school if you have not done
so already. (There were many missing
today!)
Indoor shoes
Many children have also forgotten
their black indoor school shoes; please remind them to bring them in from
tomorrow.
Pencil cases
Already we are lending out pens
and equipment! Please ensure your child’s
pencil case is fully stocked; particularly with a blue handwriting pen (not a
biro or erasable pen), glue stick and green pen.
Swimming
Swimming will start on Monday (24.04.17). The first group (3F and half of 3O) will be
leaving on the coach at 8:50am. It is
imperative that the children are on
time as the coach will not wait.
Most children wear their swimwear under their uniform, to make changing
as quick as possible, so please ensure you pack them some underwear as well as
their towel! Swim hats are highly
recommended and long hair must be tied back.
The children do not need to bring goggles.
This week…
English
We are working towards writing an
adventure story over the next few weeks.
Our grammar focus is on paragraphs, sentence types and speech marks.
Maths
This week we are recapping
addition and the expanded column method.
Some children may move on to the compact method. Next week we are going over our multiplication
methods.
